When's the last time you went to a Parent/Teacher Conference?

Sorry it's been a while since I lasted talk to you guys, I've had a lot of things going on. Do forgive me in advance for the somewhat superficial-ness of my blogs. Nonetheless, I was reading a couple articles on MSNBC.com as I normally do, and I ran across an article stating that the President had his morning schedule cleared in order to attend daughter Sasha's Parent/Teacher conference with the first lady. And this got me to thinking, how many Parents don't attend these conferences citing their hectic schedules. The President has 2 Wars, a disastrous economy, drama in the middle east causing "foolish" gas prices, Pirates in the Atlantic Oceans just waiting for Americans, potential drama with Libya and its dictator, unreal unemployment rates, the high cost of secondary education, Oprah's final season, Lindsay Lohan facing jail time, Charlie Sheen losing his mind, and the media war between Nene Leakes and Star Jones, yet he and his Wife, our first lady managed to make time to attend a parent/teacher conference where I'm sure the teacher only praised Sasha's performance thus far.

So With this blog, I challenge all parents to attend every parent teacher conference, and show an active interest in your child's education/future. Surely if the Obama's can make time in their schedule to do so, YOU can make time.
