So I’m sitting here blow drying my hair while watching 20/20. Chris Cuomo is doing a story on young heroin addicts. He brings to light that contrary to popular belief, the majority of heroin addicts are young Caucasian’s that live in very affluent suburbs. (Not Blacks and Hispanics in the inner cities, as is frequently reported). He profiled 3 whites young adults from well to do families that struggle with their individual addictions. During the report, the teens took Chris with them on their drug runs, as they attempted to get cash, and ended with their stints in rehab for two of the teens, and jail for the other. My prayer is that this story spoke relevance in the hearts of parents out there that may see the warning signs, but believe that they are invincible.
No person is safe, nor should they be looked over, when it comes to the war on drugs.
