Halle Berry is going to play Aretha Franklin in a much anticipated biopic

According to an phone interview with Wendy Williams, the fabulous Halle Berry is going to play the Queen of Soul in a long rumored, highly anticipated biopic film. The queen noted that many people were considered for the role, including American Idol alums Fantasia and Jennifer Hudson, but ultimately she choose Ms. Berry. So what do you guys think? Personally, I think it would have been easier for J. Hud to channel the Queen, but Halle is amazing and I'm sure she'll get the job done.


In a separate interview with Jet Magazine Ms. Franklin addressed the media frenzy surrounding her health stating she owes no one an explanation concerning her health and doesn't have to discuss it with anyone but her doctors. I, for one agree. I pray the The Queen's health is under control and that everything that can be done is being done. God Bless
