2011 So Far.....

Sorry guys, I feel like I haven't talked to you all since like last year.... Side-note, I really have to stop starting my blogs off with "Sorry". But Happy New Year and all that good stuff.

So much has already happened in the 12 days of this year that if feels like its June, but I want to, before anything else, say that may prayers are with everyone effected by the foolishness that were the actions of the young man in Arizona. Regardless of his motives, I pray that the young lady senselessly murdered did not do so in vain. I pray that a larger discussion, and overwhelming decisions are made to ensure that this never happens again. (Stricter gun laws people. Come on, How many people have to die before we change things).

Lets see, yesterday debuted the highly anticipated return of "The Game" on BET. Kudos BET for bringing back a show that was clearly cut too soon. The fans spoke and showed a clear demand for this show, and the execs at BET supplied it. I for one can't wait to see the numbers from the season premiere episode, judging from my facebook page, a lot of people tuned in. I wonder if the execs over at the CW (the station that introduced the show and later canceled it) were watching? Its super nice to see a predominately black TV show on the air.

Oprah launched her OWN network. How nice it must be to say I own my OWN network. Like who dreams that big? Who wakes up and says, "Ok, I think I'm going to do it. I think I'm going to own my own television network". I tell you who....Oprah...... and Me from now on. If I'm going to do big, I'm going to dream big. For God sake, Oprah just proved with diligence and determination.....well I can have a 16th of what Oprah has and be WELL to do.

And that's been my year so far. Or at least everything I can think of. As I mentioned before I have big plans and high hopes for this year. I dreaming OPRAH big ya'll. Oh did I tell you? Today I got a job!!!! While its not the job I went to school to land, its the job GOD has sent me at this time until HE feels I'm ready for the real deal. Oprah, here I come, I'm a couple hundred miles behind you, but I'm on my way :)
