Chicago Blaze leaves 2 Firefighters Dead, another 14 injured

Today is a pretty somber day here in Chicago, IL. An early morning fire on the city's south side left 2 firefighters dead, and 14 others injured, 6 critically. On days like this you're just reminded to be so grateful, not just for life, but for the MILLIONS of Men and Women that risk THEIR lives, and the welfare of their families to protect and serve us. It saddens me more then anything to think of their families that in spite of their obvious tragedy, are comforted knowing that their loved ones died not in vain, but doing what they loved.

So on this day, I like so many of you want to Thank God, or whoever you may thank, for the men and women I will never make acquaintance with, but will with NO hesitation, put their lives on the line for me.... Am I worthy?

That's something to think about. Not that my words could ever really thank you, I'll say it anyway. Thank You for doing more than I could ever ask of you, by risking your life day in and day out. THANK YOU!!!!
