I'm BACK

So it's been a while. A couple days, month's, year's,  but who is counting. I think I'm going to give this blog thing another try. As it turns out, I kind of like writing. I've been looking to do more if it so I'll use this blog for practice. Disclaimer, I'm writing this from my cell phone so forgive any grammatical errors you may encounter. For now we'll blame it on swipe text. 😊

Things Educated Black Women Despise

Its been awhile, but I'm back. I was prompted to write this blog after watching one of my guilty pleasures, Maury, so here we go.

Things Educated Black Women Despise:

• People walking out of the house in their dirty pajamas as if they just rolled out of bed
• The assumption that every single mother is on some form of government assistance 
• The assumption that only Black women use government assistance 
• Having to constantly remind people that we're educated
• People who go on TV speaking illiterate
• The assumption that all "Baby Mama's" have drama
• The belief that all Black women are ghetto
• The misconception that because some of us watch Bad Girls Club and Basketball Wives, we are oblivious to Hardball with Chris Matthews and The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer 
• The question of "when we're going to have babies" instead of "when we're going to get married"
• The use of a "Hair Bonnet" and/or "Satin Cap" as an outdoor headpiece 
• The fact that only a few if any of the Basketball wives are married
• Being labeled angry
• DRAMA
• The cancellation of any show that shows Black women in a positive light
• Being dismissed by Black Men solely because we're Black
• Black men who exclusively date non-Black women
• The assumption that an educated Black woman is bourgeois
• The assumption that we are gold diggers
• The belief that we lack faith and are not supportive of Black men 
• When we are called angry, ghetto, bitches, and other derogatory names by Black Men
